Healing for Broken Bodies and Lives. Cancer, heart disease, depression, anxiety, abortion, divorce, infidelity. Two thousand years ago Jesus walked through the countryside of Israel and healed those that came to Him. Jesus still provides that healing today and as a community of believers, He wants us to pray together and comfort each other in tough times.

Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. James 5:14-15

Opportunity to grow closer to God. The best way to get to know someone is to listen to what they have to say. God has provided this opportunity for us to know Him by giving us His love letter – the Bible. By studying it and learning from it we can draw closer to God and find the ways that He would have us live our lives.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Power for Living through Prayer & Praise. God has provided the Holy Spirit as a helper for us so that we can have power in our lives. By praying and worshiping together as a church, we can call on God to provide us with the strength and power that we need so that we can accomplish His will in our lives.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

Emancipation from Sin. All of us fall short of the ideal life that God designed for us, and there is nothing that we can do on our own to free ourselves from our selfish, sinful lives. Jesus died on the cross so that we could experience freedom from the slavery of sin, and with the gift of His life we can all experience freedom in our lives.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
